Weather Weariness

Take it one day at a time

When I went to throw out my trash tonight, a neighbor of mine was smoking outside. He commented that he was over the weather. Note it is still snowing. It was snowing yesterday. It snowed last week as well. Even if it isn’t snowing tomorrow, it will still be cold. It is February, this is somewhat standard weather for the northeast of the United States.*

I said to the neighbor to just take it one day at a time and before we know it, it will be March and there will be signs of Spring.

When the pandemic started spreading rapidly in the United States last March, no one knew how long it would last. Everyone hunkered down, bought up all the toilet paper ,and tried to help out their neighbors. But then the days turned into weeks. The weeks then turned into months. While there is hope now as a result of the unprecedented production of vaccines, many people will still have to wait for months to receive them. So like the weather, we just have to take it one day at a time.

I know it is rough. Everyone has been affected in some way by this pandemic. But we can do this. We can get through it. Just have to do it, one day at a time.

My thoughts and feelings go out to Texas right now and anywhere else that is not equipped to deal with winter weather.
