Things I Love

A post for Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Look, I’m very much single and it wasn’t so fun today when my walk home seemed to take me by every florist shop in the city but I’m going to turn it around and write a list of things I love. So here is my non-exhaustive list:

  1. When it is 54 degrees in February. Every spring, there is a brief period where everyone is happy due to the rising temperatures. It is during this brief period that I almost feel bad for people who live in sunniness year-round because it is a wonderful feeling.
  2. The smell of my mom’s spaghetti.
  3. When my mom picks me up at the train station with the family dog and the dog is just soooo excited to see me. I mean, mom is as well, but she is less demonstrative.
  4. Puppies. I went to this Puppy Bowl event over the weekend and they had three rescue puppies there. I’ve determined there are few things better than holding puppies in your arms.
  5. Wine tastings with cheese and chocolate. This is a favorite activity of mine to do with family.
  6. When “Last Dance” or “Aint No Mountain High Enough” come on my music playlist unexpectedly.
  7. Dance parties in my bedroom.
  8. I Love Lucy. I’m told I have a different laugh for when I watch that show but I believe the honking noise I make is the sound of pure joy.
  9. Seeing my cousins (old and young).
  10. Traveling and visiting new places.
