New Year’s Resolutions

There are many articles about new years resolutions. I would like add just one more to the canon.

  1. Utilize batting cages more often. Do you need to blow off some steam? Don’t take it out on your loved ones, go to the batting cages and blow off steam more.
  2. Eat more chocolate. I don’t know the scientific reasons behind this but I’m happier when I eat chocolate.
  3. Watch more Golden Girls episodes. No one feels like crap after watching “the Girls.”
  4. Jump in puddles, just because you can. Walk on the curb of the sidewalk, just because you can. Smell flowers, just because you can. As long as it is safe to do so, enjoy the little playground that nature so often provides.
  5. Volunteer doing something you love. Do you love dogs? Animal shelter. Children? Read to kids. Building things? Habitat for Humanity. You got skills, use them to help the world.
  6. Watch for the squirrels. A) Because they are entertaining animals. B) They seem to be really shifty creatures, do you ever really trust them?
  7. Celebrate random holidays. National peanut butter day is January 24. National fluffernutter day is October 8. Every day offers a new opportunity to celebrate something.
  8. Take more moments to appreciate how the sun comes through the trees at dusk.
  9. Eat more latkes. They are delicious.
  10. Try to be kinder to others. Do this not just because you never know what someone else is going…
