How to Visit a Flower Show Properly

The Philly Flower Show is in town!

  1. Go with people you love. There’s something incredible about sharing an experience with people you love.
  2. Get a drink. Don’t get a drink. Just enjoy yourselves however you see fit. I got a sparkling rosé, which greatly complemented the experience.
  3. Take time to smell the flowers. Literally.
  4. Learn something about the flowers. For example, I learned that hyacinths smell really lovely.
  5. Take pictures even though you know you can’t quite capture the experience.
  6. See the bonsai trees and admire how old they are.
  7. Take a moment to point out something that captures your eye. My dad pointed out how the light was coming through a display, which was really neat. If he hadn’t pointed it out, I don’t know if I would have noticed it.
  8. Have fun trying out all the samples from the various booths they have in the marketplace. We now have two pounds of fudge we didn’t have before, and I think we are all the better for it.
  9. Go out to eat after the show. You can sit back and share the parts you remember.
  10. Look forward to going again the following year.

Thank you Philly Flower Show for a lovely evening, I look forward to doing it all again next year.
